Long Term Storage

Garlic should be stored in a cool dark place with moderate humidity. Ideal long term storage conditions are 55 to 60ºF and humidity levels of 60-70%. Temperatures below 50ºF can lead to sprouting. High humidity levels and temperatures greater than 65ºF can lead to rot.

Short Term Storage

For short-term storage (1-2 months), ambient temperatures between 68 to 86ºF and humidity levels less than 75% are adequate.

Freezer Storage

Minced garlic can be packed in olive oil inside small condiment containers or ice cube trays and frozen.  Just pop out a cube as needed for cooking.
